How to dye porous hair without it going black. Pleeease help?

Using box dyes is BAD for your hair. You should be going to sallys and picking up a color and a developer, its much better for your hair because your not putting a million chemicals in your hair, as well as if you going to go a light reddish brown, don't leave the dye in for to long or it will go dark quick because theres no color in your hair.
